Dog Toy Painting Series

I've started a series of still lives featuring my tiny six pound dog Carol's toys. This is Mr. Piggy next to one of Carol's water bowls. I've gone back to the one color paintings and it feels good. I want to spend a longer time painting with only one color before I start introducing too many other colors. I rushed through the fundamentals in college and now is a good time to start over and take as much time as I need.

This is the second Mr. Piggy Carol's own, the first one she had as a puppy but it use to scare her when she'd bite it and it would squeak. Carol was very delicate then, but now she loves to murder Mr. Piggy.
