Here are the leftovers...

They’re adapting to their new surroundings beautifully.

These guys work much harder than the interns and we don’t have to feel as bad about torturing them.

And when I dress them in tiny overalls, they act stupid.

If they stop researching I give them the same shock I give you.

Here's this week's nominees...

Dog Toy Painting Series

I'm trying to keep in practice with my painting, so I'm starting a series of still lives featuring my tiny six pound dog Carol's toys. This one is called "Pink Monkey", though I'm not exactly sure this toy is suppose to be a monkey. It use to have a nose, but Carol chewed it off. Grizzly!

Tracy's on IMDB

We're legit!

Tracy
has been added to the Internet Movie Database! My apologies to the cast and crew who did not receive credit yet. I don't know why they haven't added certain people.

Dog Toy Painting Series

I'm trying to keep in practice with my painting, so I'm starting a series of still lives featuring my tiny six pound dog Carol's toys. I did my first painting today of one of Carol's very first toys "Mr. Giraffe".

Amphib/Ian

Awhile back I was kicking around an idea for a graphic novel about a miserable aquatic superhero named Ian, who's daily acts of heroism are lost on the public due to the fact that they all take place underwater. Though he participates as a member of a super group, few battles find there way to the sea, leaving him a useless bystander, so the bulk of his days are spent drowning his sorrows at a local watering hole, where he talks with a lovely bartender, whom he secretly adores.

I started messing around with some simple comic strips featuring this character but after awhile I decided this kind of super hero parody has just been done too much. So for fun, here are the only three comic strips I ever finished with this character.

* You might need to click on each strip to make them large enough to read.

The New You!

Hey all my artist friends out there, it's time to embrace the new you!

Almost every artist has in their bag of tricks, a little cutesy short hand doodle of themselves that we've been representing ourselves with in one way or another over the past few decades. We use it on Birthday cards for grandma, letters to girls we liked in High School, and God help you if you include it as part of your signature. They all look like this...

Doesn't matter if you're a man or a woman; you just change the hair or add glasses.

Don't you think it might be time you take a fresh look at that representation of yourself? Because chances are, if you came up with it in high school, it doesn't look anything like you anymore. Not even close. If it ever was. So go ahead, give yourself the rest of the day and take a good, hard, hateful look at the man or woman you've truly become, and embrace the new you!

turns out I look like this now.

Why didn't anyone tell me?
