Sexy Dan Scanlon

For my birthday Michele got me this great painting by story artist Josh Cooley . It's based on a very disturbing Halloween costume idea Michele had. She was tired of every girl dressing up as a "Sexy Nurse", "Sexy School Girl" and "Sexy Big Bird" that she decided next year she wants to dress up as a "Sexy" version of me.

I wear pretty much the same type of clothes every day: baseball cap, plaid western shirt, brown corduroy pants, and black tennis shoes.

So behold the Freudian nightmare that is, this years run away Halloween costume, "Sexy Dan Scanlon".

Josh has a series of "girlie" playing cards done in this same style available by clicking here.

Comics from Tracy

In our film "Tracy" we had a scene featuring one of the characters secret comic book collection. We created over 30 original comic book covers, most of which go completely unnoticed in the 3 to 4 minute scene. For the next few months I'll post one a week so that they can finally get their due.

It's the end of Josh Cooley month! My good friend Josh did several of the comics for Tracy, and I'm going to round out the year with his contributions. Tonight is a two for one! Check out more of Josh's work on his blog.

Josh did this one based on She - Hulk but in an intentionally sexist way.

This is one of my favorites, it's based on the crappy free comics one might get at the dentist, the eye doctor, or a big boy restaurant.

Well, that wraps up 2009, the year of Josh Cooley, let us move on to some younger more talented, handsomer, artist and never think of Josh again.

Happy New Year from Caveat Productions!

Josh did this one and I find it no more offensive than most current Saturday morning cartoons.

This one is about cannibalism, but in a funny way.

I think Josh did this one based on Archie comics, and there not so subtle creepy sexuality.

This one was done by Josh Cooley in the beloved Saturday morning Anime style. Unlike Josh, this stuff was very popular in the 90's.

Bug Zapper!

Check out this short by my friends Josh Cooley and Doug Cox called "Bug Zapper". Josh was left on my door step in early 2003, I raised him alone on my own breast milk and home made risotto. I'm very proud/jealous of the short film he and Doug made together.
